STUART Kellett won a last-leg decider against former World Grand Prix winner Robert Thornton during the concluding qualifiers for next month’s Players’ Championship Finals.
The Northwich ace held his nerve to record a 6-5 victory in a first-round meeting at the Barnsley Metrodome.
However he bowed out at the next stage following a 6-1 reverse against Terry Jenkins.
The 36-year-old lost 6-2 against former Lakeside World Champion Stephen Bunting when he returned to the oche the following morning.
It leaves him outside the top 64 on the Order of Merit after 22 events.
