BETH Willford-Dutton, a gold medal-winner with Great Britain’s women’s eight at last year’s Coupe de la Jeunesse, hopes to repeat the trick this weekend.
The Northwich Rowing Club member has been named in the team for the 2017 edition at Hazewinkel in Belgium.
She forms part of a women’s quad scull with Abbie Bird (Marlow), Siobhan Samuel (Globe) and Carter Nelson (Latymer Upper School) for a three-day regatta.
Rachel Hooper, a coach at Northwich, is another to gain international recognition.
She will train George Heriot’s School student Jane Hardie, who contests the women’s single scull.
Been a busy few weeks but great to be part of the coaching team at Coupe next week https://t.co/Mdm1lRqaj6

Willford-Dutton, who has just completed A-Levels at Sir John Deane’s College, played a starring role last year when she helped the women’s eight to victory in the opening race in Poznan.
Great Britain went on to top the medals table, winning 15 golds and seven silvers, to claim overall honours for the first time since 2013.
A gap to Italy, in second place, was the biggest in the competition’s history.
She has already represented her country this season, reaching the final of the women’s double scull at the European Junior Championships in May.
That followed an appearance, in both a double and a quad, at the Junior International Regatta in Munich earlier the same month.
The Coupe de la Jeunesse, an annual event for under 18s, attracts the best rowers from a dozen European countries.
Racing starts on Friday afternoon.
