CAPTAIN Mike Dickenson scored a half-century for Winsford in their Cheshire Alliance encounter with Wistaston, but it proved in vain.
He added 73 runs for the second wicket with opener David Bates (44) as the hosts were dismissed for 159 at Knights Grange, where James Hogben (4-41) and Mike Kingdom (4-50) combined for the visitors.
They reached their target with an over to spare after first-wicket duo George Barlow (55) and Chris Jobbins (37) had shared in a partnership worth 97 runs.
James Tierney (3-50) and Ben Crellin (2-26) were the pick of Winsford’s bowlers.
After a testing time in the field, Winsford’s seconds earned a draw away to Neston thirds in the UKFast Cheshire League's Division B West.
Matthew Wilson (112) scored a ton as the home team racked up 224-3, although their guests avoided defeat by reaching 173-8 in reply.
Colin Dean (50) and captain Andy Cooper (42) were the leading scorers.
