WEST End LMR B have retained their Crewe Oddies Club Winter Open League darts title.

The Premier Division’s perennial top two West End LMR B and Pioneers Club met with the Pi’s taking a quick 3-0 advantage.

But LMR B responded like the true champions they are to force a draw and retain their title by three points, with the pair ending the season unbeaten.

LMR B’s Danny Ayres won in 17 and 19 darts. while there were maximums for Pi’s A duo Tony Richardson and John Cooper.

Elswhere, Oddies’ Dave Coyne ended a 16 dart leg with a 130 checkout, Vine A’s Steve Tizard chucked a 17 darter and teammate Howard Bateman fired an 18 darter.

Regular top performer Tom Kelly, from Farmers, won in 19 and 20 darts, with 19 darters also hit by Paul Ralphs, from ASLEF, and Shoe’s Martin Patrick – who also blasted a 180.

Kings A’s Wayne Patton hit maximum but was outdone by his father Dave, who went one better and bagged a brace.

Division One saw all five winners grab six or seven points, including toppers Willaston Club who had already clinched the championship and celebrated at the Crown.

Amalgamated B won 6-2 at Nantwich Road A to take claim runners-up berth, successfully holding off the challenge of third-placed Broughton Arms,.

They were another six-hitter at Amalgamated A.

Division Two champions Brunel Arms B already had the title sewed up so eased to a 5-3 win over Bridge C to finish a massive 17 points clear of runners-up Hawk.

The second-placed side were 5-3 victors at Kings Arms B.

Division Three’s top pair Raven and Swan & Chequers were guaranteed to take the trophy slots with just the order to be defined.

Raven beat hosts Duke of Bridgewater B 5-3 and are champions on matches won after their 7-1 trouncing of Nags Head.

In Premier Division Dominoes West End LMR B completed the double by taking the title in style with a 6-2 win at Pioneers A to finish six points ahead of runners-up Kings Arms A.

Their draw at Hop Pole A ensured no repeat of last season’s disappointment when they were pipped at the post.

Division One leaders Nantwich Road A’s final three match winning flourish saw them take the championship title by six points from Amalgamated A, whose 5-3 defeat of Broughton Arms kept their closest rivals at bay and ensured them of Runners-up spot.

Division Two leaders Rising Sun A’s disappointing season's end saw them have to sit out a final week's bye and witness Flying Lady A take the champions' tag with a 6-2 win at Bridge A, who also nipped in ahead of them to be Rrnners-up by a single point.

Division Three  leaders Coppenhall Club also had sit out their bye week and see which of the chasing duo could get the five points needed to unseat them.

White Lion’s draw at Flying Lady B leaves them one point short of being champions, so they have to settle for third spot as Coppenhall were joined at the top by Duke of Bridgewater B.

A 5-3 defeat of Raven has resulted in the league's first play-off in many seasons as Coppenhall and Duke B finished up with identical records.

Division Four was another triumph for long-time leaders Nags Head A, who completed the double in style by whitewashing visitors Hop Pole B.

The Nag finished a huge 17 points clear of Dishers Club B, who held on to runners-up spot despite losing 5-3 at Eight Farmers B, which was their first dominoes win of the season.

Third-placed location colleagues Dishers Club A finished in third spot, two points behind them after their draw with Duke of Bridgewater C.
