NANTWICH leapt into third place in Cheshire County Cricket League’s ECB Premier Division at the weekend.
The Dabbers continue to look strong and their nine-wickets success at Macclesfield took them above Alderley Edge, who lost for the first time this year at home to Bowdon.
John Birchall top scored with 52 in Macc’s tally of 191, with Liam Livingstone taking 4 for 29.
In reply, Nantwich cruised home at 194 for 1 thanks to their IPL star Abhishek Raut, 108 not out, and Chris Simpson, 85, who put on 190 for the second wicket.
The Dabbers visit fifth-placed Hyde on Saturday.
