BURSCOUGH'S title hopes have been hit by a point deduction.

The UniBond League's Board of Management took a point off them following December's 1-1 draw against Lincoln United after substitute Adam Wade came on when he was not registered.

Their appeal to the FA was thrown out this afternoon.

"It was decided that an unregistered player had taken to the field of play and therefore had some influence in the game," said a spokesman.
