TWO of the lowest-ranked teams left in the Littler Cup meet on Monday, when a prize for the victor is a quarter-finals place.
Barnton Cricket Club B, unbeaten in the league so far this season, take on Mid-Cheshire Bowling Association Section Four rivals Moulton RBL B at Spinner & Bergamot.
Meadowbank B, who play in the same division, have been paired with higher-ranked Barnton Cricket Club A at Moulton RBL.
The six Premier Division survivors each take on opponents from a lower level, with Castle Private B needing to be most wary of an upset against fourth-tier outfit Tarporley RBL.
Wharton Cons A face Comberbach B, while Castle Private A’s path to the last eight is blocked by Moulton RBL A.
Comberbach A have a tricky test against Owley Wood A, while Rudheath A will need to turn around a 36-chalk handicap deficit against Davenham A.
They were comfortable victors when the teams met in the Brunner Cup last weekend.
Frodsham Red Lion A have an unenviable task of competing for a place in the next round with clubmates Frodsham Red Lion C, who play in the second tier.
Their head-start is worth 40 points.
