LEON Knight’s Barnton side narrowly missed out on a North West Counties League Division One play-offs spot in their debut campaign at the level.
Their season drew to a close with a 7-0 hammering of Widnes at Townfield Lane on Saturday, their biggest win of the season.
Former Witton Albion Shaun Tuck was on target four times, while James Robinson, Kevin Pollard and Ryan Malone also hit the net.
But it was not enough to see the Villagers into a play-offs sport, finishing one point adrift after a mixed run-in saw them lose three of their final six games.
