POCKETS claimed a second piece of silverware this season when they edged Forest Road in Sunday’s Gordon Bennett League Cup final.
Scott Taylor scored the decisive goal of the game after 10 minutes at Wincham Park, though the Winsford outfit were grateful to goalkeeper Lee Grannell for saves he made to stop Sam Tomkinson and Sam O’Sullivan from scoring.
Shaun Bradley hit the bar too.
Meanwhile Steve Snape’s double for Lion Moulton helped them to a surprise success against holders Knutsford Shaw Heath in the Sue Baker Cup quarter-finals.
Old Star host Holmes Chapel in the other final-four tie.
