Lostock Gralam 5 FC Woodford 3
A BRILLIANT first-half performance set Lostock Gralam on a course for the JA Walton Challenge Cup last eight on Saturday.
They led 3-0 by the break thanks to goals from Graham Smalley, Martin Bell and Ed Marsh’s penalty.
Woodford rallied, scoring twice in quick succession after the interval, before Marsh and Callum Priestley found the net to settle the outcome.
“We should have killed off the game,” said manager Ross Speight afterwards.
“But we’re looking strong for the run in.”
