CLITHEROE have pocketed a four-figure fee for James Dean.
The 21-year-old striker checked in at the Victoria Stadium on New Year's Day, but sat out Saturday's win at St Albans through suspension.
He signed a contract with the UniBond Division One outfit in October.
Dean's rise has been meteroic.
He joined Clitheroe in the summer from North West Counties Division Two side Great Harwood Town.
Just six months later the former English kickboxing champion is now getting ready for Conference football.
Vics boss Steve Burr believes he could spring a surprise or two.
"It's a huge step up for James, probably too big at this moment in time," he said.
"He's raw but we know he has an eye for goal and I think he could become a huge fan favourite here."
Dean may not have to wait long to make his debut, with next Tuesday's derby date with Witton likely to mark his first appearance in a Vics shirt.
