GRANGE School’s under 16s girls were undefeated en route to victory in the Independent Schools Association’s regional finals.
The Hartford team, playing in a competition together for the first time during the new academic year, won seven successive matches to claim the North area title.
That record was equalled by Queen Ethelberga’s College, against whom Grange only needed to draw to make safe first place in the standings.
After trailing 3-0 at the end of the first half, they recovered to win a fast-paced encounter.
Maz Rose, Lillie Prior, Mel Boulton, Sophie Milne, Helen Owen, Libby Mowbray, Amy Nolan, Becky Waterworth and Romy Chandler played for Grange on the day.
