OULTON Park expects a five-figure crowd this weekend to watch the next round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship.
The Little Budworth circuit hosts the campaign’s first triple-header, with headline races on Saturday and Sunday.
Defending champion Shane Byrne heads the pack, although a crash at Brands Hatch last time out permitted closest rivals Alex Lowes and Josh Brookes to close the gap at the top of the riders’ standings.
Ryuichi Kiyonari, another to have won the title previously, and fans’ favourite Chris Walker are expected to be front-runners too.
In addition to three superbike races, a further eight sprints for the support classes completes a packed programme.
