Jaime Winstone will not be taking part in the next episode of Strictly Come Dancing due to injury.

The actress, who is partnered with professional dancer Carlos, has been forced to withdraw from this weekend’s show (Saturday, November 7) after tearing an abdominal muscle.

A spokesperson for Strictly said: "Due to injury, Jaime Winstone has been advised by doctors to rest and, as a result, she will not dance in this weekend's Strictly Come Dancing.

"In line with the rules of the show, Jaime and Carlos will receive a bye through to next week when it is hoped they will be able to dance again.

"We wish Jaime the very best as she continues her recovery."

In a statement, Winstone shared: "I am absolutely devastated not to be dancing this weekend due to a torn abdominal muscle.

"I am in considerable pain, and my doctors have advised complete rest to give my body the best possible chance to heal."

Winstone thanked viewers and fans for their encouragement.

She said: "I want to thank everyone for their incredible support so far."

Winstone also wished her fellow contestants well for the weekend's upcoming show.

This is the second time in the 2026 series of Strictly Come Dancing that a contestant has had to miss an episode due to injury.

The singer and actress Delta Goodrem missed the fourth week of the show, before being able to return for the following episode.
