Police are investigating a report that a shot was fired on a west Belfast street.
The alleged incident took place on Amcomri Street on Friday night.
A PSNI spokesman said officers received a report that a man heard someone at his front gate at around 10pm, and then saw a man dressed in black carrying a small firearm.
The man said he dropped to the floor before hearing what he described as a shot being fired.
No injuries or damage to property have been reported.
The PSNI has urged anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information likely to be of use to their investigation to call detectives in Musgrave Station on 101, quoting reference 1649 15/02/19.
