A TEAM of politics students at Sir John Deane’s College have made their voices heard by winning the regional final of a youth speaking and presentation contest.
Matt Lynes, Luke Robinson and Karolina Dimitrova were crowned the regional winners of the Rotary Club’s Youth Speaks competition. Luke also won an individual award for the best main speaker at the event. They are now through to the final for Wales and the north of England in March where the topic will be ‘What are the fundamentals of a good education’.
“The team performed excellently and are fantastic representatives of the college, we’re now looking forward to the next round,” said Paul Allanach, head of humanities.
