A HORSE enthusiast from Winsford is preparing to ride through her hometown in memory of her grandad.
Laura Bryan, aged 16, will be joined by a group of her closest friends as they ride through Winsford on Saturday, October 27 - complete with Halloween costumes.
Laura’s grandad, Barry, died at St Luke’s Hospice in August at the age of 63, after a long battle with cancer.
The Winsford Academy student plans to give all the money she raises directly to the charity.
“St Luke’s did a lot for my grandad and they do a lot for so many other people. It costs so much to do what they do and I wanted to be able to help them.”
Laura has been riding since she was just four-years-old, after her grandad introduced her to the sport.
“There’s a big group of us doing the sponsored horseride on the Saturday and we’re hoping that if it goes well and we raise quite a lot for St Luke’s, we can do it again next year.”
Keep your eyes pealed for Laura and friends as they ride through Winsford on Saturday, October 27.
