I am extremely proud to be the headteacher of Hartford Church of England High School! We have amazing students, superb and committed staff, caring parents and an excellent Governing Board; all of whom contribute to our vibrant school community.
Our school is unique in the local area as the only CofE High School for many miles around. You would have to go to Manchester, Chester or Warrington to find the next nearest church foundation school. We are proud to be a CofE High School, serving the local community, determined to bring out the best in everyone we are lucky enough to educate and work alongside.
Whilst always a good school, Hartford Church of England High School has been rapidly improving in recent years, fostering a strong sense of community and togetherness that has driven us forward to achieving our best ever results and being over-subscribed.
We have paid particular attention to the curriculum (ensuring that it is broad and balanced) and the quality of teaching and learning with a particular focus on reading, feedback, independence and challenge. Equally, we have substantially developed our extracurricular offer from table tennis to Young Reporters, War Hammer to orchestra, football to art — there really is something for everyone to flourish in both at lunchtime and after school.
A driving force behind all that we have done has been developing the culture and ethos of the school, with the creation of our HART values (Happy, Achieving, Ready Together) that underpin our interactions with one another and an award-winning family system that all students and staff are a part of, focussing on belonging, personal development, leadership, charitable acts and friendly competition.
We love to share our vision and the brilliance of our students with all those who wish to visit us.
You are more than welcome to come and see what Hartford Church of England High School has to offer at any time.
Our Open Evening took place on September 9 this year, but please don’t worry if you missed it, we are running tours of the school every weekday morning until October half term.
