TWO men have died after falling into an industrial slurry tank on a farm in Aston by Budworth.

At around 12.20pm on Wednesday, August 26, emergency services were called to reports of an industrial incident at a farm on Cann Lane, near its junction with Budworth Road.

Police, the air ambulance, paramedics, and the fire service went to the farm where they found two men had fallen into an industrial sized slurry tank.

The men, aged 72 and 42, were pulled from the tank by emergency services, but despite best efforts of all those involved, sadly, both were pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Next of kin have been informed and an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“The family have requested for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.”
