A CREATIVE fundraiser has helped raise more than £500 for Cancer Research UK.
Halton Village Silver, based at Lady Heyes in Frodsham, Cheshire, hosted the event in their jewellery workshop, combining a silver ring-making class with pampering, photography, and community support.
Clare Handley, owner of Halton Village Silver, said: "From the very beginning, I wanted this to feel like much more than simply asking people for donations.
"We wanted everyone who supported the fundraiser to have a really enjoyable day and to go home with something special."

All proceeds from the event were donated to Cancer Research UK.
Guests began the day with brunch before starting the jewellery session.
During lunch, Vicki Caplin, a Tropic Ambassador, offered complimentary hand massages and later guided guests through mini facials.
She also donated five per cent of all Tropic sales from the day.
Photographer Keith from Be Kreative Photography set up a pop-up studio at the venue, offering professionally taken and edited photos for a £2 donation per image.
"The eight ladies made fabulous rings and there was such a lovely atmosphere throughout the day," Clare added.

"Vicki and Keith gave their time and skills so generously, and the support from The Pod Kitchen and Lady Heyes campsite meant that people across the site could get involved too.
"We are absolutely delighted to have reached just over £500.
"It shows what can happen when small local businesses and our community work together."

Neighbouring businesses at Lady Heyes also supported the cause.
The Pod Kitchen displayed a Cancer Research UK collection tin, and Lady Heyes campsite reception collected donations from visitors.
