PUBS, cafés, restaurants, and even hairdressers are getting into the tropical spirit as Northwich's popular Piña Colada Festival returns on Saturday, August 22.
Now in its sixth year, the town-wide celebration will see dozens of businesses serving up special cocktails, mocktails, and themed food, while thousands of visitors are expected to enjoy live entertainment, music, parades, and family activities across the town centre.
Festival-goers will be able to sample everything from classic piña coladas and alcohol free alternatives to Hawaiian burgers, pineapple paninis, and piña colada mousse as businesses embrace the Caribbean-inspired event.
Among those taking part is The Swinging Witch on Crown Street, which sold more than 1,000 piña coladas during last year's festival.
The venue will once again be hosting Caribbean steel pan music alongside live sport throughout the day.
There will also be a best dressed competition, with a £100 prize to spend at a town centre business up for grabs.

Organisers Northwich Business Improvement District (BID) has announced a carefully selected line-up of independent food traders for this year's event after listening to feedback from festival-goers.
The BID says the traders have been chosen not only for the quality of their food but also because of their support for the town, while offering products which are not already available in Northwich.
It added Northwich's own bars, restaurants, cafés, and shops remain at the heart of the festival, with many planning special menus, stalls, and outdoor seating areas.
Ellis Wardle, chair of Northwich BID, said: "The Piña Colada Festival has become a firm favourite in Northwich and, despite the name, it's about so much more than piña coladas.

"It’s a fantastic family-friendly day out, with live music, parades, activities, and entertainment for all ages taking place across the town centre.
"What makes the festival particularly special is the way the whole town gets behind it.
"Our shops, bars and restaurants really embrace the day with their own offers, food, drinks, and festival specials.

"We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back this August for another fun-filled day, and hope visitors will take the opportunity to explore the town and enjoy everything Northwich has to offer."
Activities will take place across several locations, including Apple Market Place, Witton Quarter, and Barons Quay.
