A COACH who rebuilt her life after work-related stress and cancer is now helping business leaders prioritise wellbeing.

Caddi Earl, from Tarporley, launched Believe & Achieve Coaching Academy Ltd in February 2021 after overcoming depression, burnout, and a breast cancer diagnosis.

The 56-year-old now supports senior leaders and business owners to achieve success without sacrificing their health.

She said: "More than half of UK business owners and senior leaders are reported to have experienced symptoms of chronic burnout, while one in six founders did not take a single day off work in the last 12 months."

Her own experience of work-related stress and burnout led to a major turning point in her life.

Caddi said: "I can relate to that feeling of overwhelm.

"After a career in supply chain consultancy, working with global and multinational corporations, I reached breaking point.

"The long, stressful hours had drained me and the work no longer sparked joy.

"For years, I struggled with severe depression, anxiety and stress.

"I had recently left a toxic relationship and was drowning in debt when, shortly afterwards, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

"That was the turning point and the moment I realised that something had to change."

With the support of a coach, Caddi began to rebuild her life - an experience that inspired her to begin helping others before they reached crisis point.

She now delivers one-to-one transformational mindset coaching and team sessions for corporate leaders, with plans to expand her services to include leadership workshops for businesses locally and globally.

Caddi said: "For the majority of the leaders I work with, their definition of success has changed over time.

"They want to know how they can continue performing at a high level without compromising their health, relationships, work-life balance or enjoyment of life.

"That’s an interesting challenge and one I feel privileged to explore with them – knowing only too well the potential impact sustained pressure can have on your health."

Seven years after completing her cancer treatment, Caddi says the experience gave her a renewed perspective on time and energy.

She said: "Time and energy feel so much more precious when you have had a brush with your own mortality.

"That’s why I wrote my book, Plan a Sh!t Day, which is approaching its first anniversary as an Amazon best-seller.

"I wanted it to be a practical guide to making better use of the 24 hours we all have, one step at a time."

Caddi now lives in the Cheshire countryside with her son, who is a pilot, along with her two dogs and a cat.
