Patient Survey reveals Mid Cheshire's best and worst GP surgeries

The latest findings reveal which practices are the highest and lowest rated in Mid Cheshire.

The survey covers a wide range of measures, including how easy it is to contact a practice, appointment availability, waiting times, and access to online services.

Alongside these detailed results, each surgery is given an overall experience rating too.

For the purposes of this ranking, Northwich & Winsford Guardian has used this measure, which reflects the proportion of patients surveyed who described their overall experience of their GP practice as good.

Firdale Medical Centre, on Firdale Road in Greenbank, topped the list, with 92 per cent of patients rating their overall experience positively.

This is a sizeable 12 per cent improvement on its score last year.

Meanwhile, Oakwood Medical Centre on Broadway in Barnton received the lowest score in the area, achieving an overall approval rating of 65 per cent, down eight per cent on last year.

Across England, the average overall satisfaction rating in 2026 stands at 77 per cent.

Of the 14 GP surgeries included in the Mid Cheshire rankings, 12 scored above the national average.
