CHANNEL 4 cameras were seen in Great Budworth for filming on a six-part series.
Army of Shadows is based on a 1940s book and on a 1960s film of the same name.
Although the source material is set in German-occupied France the six-part series is set in a fictionalised, near-future American-occupied Britain.
Channel 4 cameras were seen in the village as well as military men, military vehicles and half-and-half flags of the Stars and Stripes and Union Jack.

On Monday, July 6, Budworth Lane near Brownslow House was shut off while Church Street and High Street were subject to stop-and-go signs.
BAFTA award-winner Ronan Bennett is the writer of the drama which is based on the book by Joseph Kessel and the film by Jean-Pierre Melville.

On commissioning last year he said: "I am thrilled to be working with the teams at Channel 4, Studio Canal, Two Cities and CANAL+."
Bennett added: "Democracy is again in clear and present danger. Resistance to fascism is – and must always be – a permanent struggle."

Great Budworth is no stranger to the camera crews after star turns in BBC's War of the Worlds – an adaptation of the book by HG Wells – Netflix's Missing You – an adaptation of the book by Harlan Coben – and Sky's Brassic as recently as last year.
At the time of writing there is no release date for Army of Shadows.
