A BRAND-NEW car show debuts in Northwich this summer, bringing together classic and modern vehicles from across the region for a free, family-friendly event.
The inaugural Northwich Car Show will take place at Northwich Rugby Club on Moss Farm Leisure Complex on Saturday, August 1, starting at 9am.
While connected to the established Mid Cheshire Charity Scooter Rally and Beer Festival, the car show will operate as a separate event and is expected to fill much of the Moss Farm site not already occupied by the scooter rally.
The long-running charity rally attracts scooter enthusiasts from across the country and features live entertainment, food, drink, competitions and family activities.
The event is organised by Northwich Rotary Club, with proceeds supporting local charitable causes.
Organisers say the new car show has been created to celebrate the area's thriving motoring community and is expected to attract a wide range of vehicles and visitors.
A number of local car clubs are already set to take part.

Enthusiast groups regularly meet at venues including The Coachman in Hartford and Vale Royal Abbey, reflecting the popularity of the local car scene.
Visitors attending the car show will also be able to access part of the scooter rally site, including food vendors and the bar area, in exchange for a small donation.
Funds raised will go to Autism Practical Support, a Northwich-based charity supporting autistic people and their families.
Tim Henshall, organiser of the Mid Cheshire Charity Scooter Rally, said: "The car show will be a great addition to the town's calendar and will bring a lot of extra foot fall for the rugby club.
"What's more, it is a family event which is completely free.

"We feel really excited about this new event and confident it will be popular with the wider Northwich community."
The Mid Cheshire Charity Scooter Rally and Beer Festival has become a popular fixture on the local events calendar, bringing together hundreds of scooter enthusiasts for a weekend of live music, DJs, market stalls, food outlets and competitions.
The rally is now in its second year at Moss Farm and continues to raise money for charity.
One of the Northwich Car Show co-ordinators, David Drinkwater, believes the event will showcase the diversity and passion of the local motoring community.
He said: "Car shows are a chance for car owners, enthusiasts, and their friends to catch up over shared interests and just have a great time.
"At Northwich, we will have a variety of cars from the 1950s up until right now of all different shapes, styles, sizes and preferences.
"This would not be possible without the support of the local car community, so a huge thank you to them.
"The event is free for all to enjoy, and hopefully we can see more of the attendees at the local meetings."
Organisers are still inviting owners who would like to display a car or motorcycle to get involved.
Anyone interested should contact Northwich Car Show via its Facebook page before July 21 to register their interest.
With classic motors, modern performance cars, modified vehicles and motorcycles all expected to be on display, organisers are hopeful the event will become a regular fixture in Northwich and complement the town's growing programme of summer events.
