A NOSTALGIC new drink is hitting shelves just in time for summer.
Knutsford-based Delamere Dairy has teamed up with sweet maker Swizzels, which has a site in Middlewich, to launch a range of flavoured milk drinks inspired by classic childhood treats.
The drinks will be available at convenience stores across the country from July.
The Delamere and Swizzels Matlow Flavoured Milk range features three flavours in recyclable glass bottles: Squashies Drumstick Raspberry & Milk, Squashies Rhubarb & Custard, and Lemon Refreshers.
Jessica Page, brand manager at Delamere Flavoured Milk, said: "For our first-ever collaboration, we’re excited to launch a fresh, fun new range which encourages people to 'sip back in time' and transport themselves to childhood memories of a proper glass bottle of milk and a delicious Swizzels treat.
"We’ve created a trio of products which take you back to your childhood and we’re confident that they’ll be a hit with people seeking an affordable, grab and go treat."
The drinks are made using Delamere’s creamy milk and blended with fruity Swizzels flavours.
Priced from just £1.17, they are designed as a nostalgic, on-the-go refreshment.
Delamere Flavoured Milk is a brand under Delamere Dairy, based in Knutsford.
The company has been producing dairy products for more than 40 years and distributes to more than 20 countries worldwide.
Sarah-Louise Heslop, head of marketing at Swizzels, said: "Swizzels has always been about playful, nostalgic flavours, and it’s been great to see them turned into a chilled milk drink.
"It’s an easy, refreshing way to enjoy familiar sweet flavours in a different format, whether that’s as a quick treat from the fridge or whilst out and about."
The collaboration marks the beginning of a long-term partnership, with seasonal flavours planned for future releases.
Swizzels, known for classic confectionery including Refreshers, Love Hearts, and Drumstick Lollies, opened a site in Middlewich in 2022.
