Two Winsford businesses are on the move to new locations

Funk Fitness is moving after more than a decade from John Street to High Street to what was Manchester House Carpets.

The flooring firm is moving a few miles down the road to Hightown in Middlewich opposite St Michael and All Angels Church.

The fitness firm will, on opening, also have a new name of Sweat Social according to long-time personal trainer Rob Griffiths.

The personal trainer, previously of Northwich's Lean Body Kitchen, said: "Ashley [Wood] is the owner of the gym and I work for myself out of the gym. We are on the way to a bigger and better premises on the old High Street.

"It has always been something we have sought after and now is the time to do it."

Sweat Social will open in the next few days after work to the 1800s ex-church.

There will be more work to do in the next few months following the opening day.

The personal trainer told the Northwich and Winsford Guardian: "We love the new name and we are proud of the new name.

"It is more meaningful than just a name and the circle on the logo is for no beginning, no end, the continuous cycle of progress."

Manchester House Carpets' new site is the old site of Beyond Beauty.

The beauty salon made a move of its own this year to Holmes Chapel.

A post on social media last week said: "We have been in Winsford for over 45 years and we would like to thank all our loyal customers."

As of the start of this week Sweat Social will be at High Street, Winsford, CW7 2AD, and Manchester House Carpets will be at Hightown, Middlewich, CW10 9AN.
