A MOULTON man accused of showing his penis to schoolgirls has been acquitted of the offence.

Thomas Arcus was on trial over two almost identical alleged incidents at his home on Main Road.

The 42-year-old was accused of showing his penis to the teenage girls, who were all in uniform, on the mornings of Tuesday, October 15, and Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

A jury of four men and eight women swiftly found him not guilty of the charges.

It was the crown's case he acted deliberately to cause 'alarm and distress' but at his police interview he said it was 'accidental'.

Arcus said he walked around naked in the morning so he did not wake up his partner when he was using the chest of drawers.

On day three of the trial, the defendant said: "I absolutely did not touch myself.

"I absolutely would not be walking around my house while sexually aroused."

On day four of the trial, the defendant has been acquitted of two counts of exposure.

He had previously pleaded not guilty at a plea and trial preparation hearing last year.
