A NEW holiday park has welcomed a full house of guests in its opening weeks.
Ty Gwyn, a third-generation family business based in Abergele, launched the Fishpool Holiday Park in Delamare, Cheshire, following its acquisition of the site and two months of works to transform the holiday park.
All the available lodges, caravans, and touring pitches were booked out during the first couple of weeks of May, with strong demand continuing into the summer season.
Rhodri Owen, director of Ty Gwyn, said: "We were delighted with the demand for bookings for our opening couple of weeks, something that is continuing into bookings for the rest of the summer.
"We know from chatting to some of our customers that they have made the decision to holiday in the UK due to all the uncertainty that has surrounded foreign travel since the outbreak of the conflict in the Middle East, along with wider cost of living concerns."
Mr Owen said the team worked quickly to get the site open for guests.
He said: "We had a relatively small window from completing the purchase to opening, but we have achieved a lot in a short space of time to transform the holiday park both in terms of the accommodation available and the visual appearance of the site.
"We will be undertaking further works over the coming weeks and have more new lodges and caravans arriving for guests to enjoy over the summer.
"We are keen to hear from people interested in securing seasonal touring pitches and those who may want to find out about buying their own lodge or caravan at Fishpool."
Improvements to the park include a new entrance, a road through the site, landscaping, a wildflower meadow, and a dog walk.
Sustainability has also been prioritised, with the site supplied with 20 per cent BIO LPG by Deeside-based CamGas.
The lodges, supplied by Victory Leisure Homes, include solar-powered options.
The company said Fishpool Holiday Park benefits from its proximity to Delamere Forest and the Sandstone Trail, with nearby pubs, restaurants, and farm shops.
Bookings are managed by Sykes Cottages and housekeeping is provided by Godfrey Group.
Fishpool Holiday Park is now open to guests, with further expansions expected throughout the summer.
