THE water is back on at Leighton Hospital after several hours of supply issues.

A spokesperson for Mid Cheshire NHS Trust said it is now business as usual.

There were several hours of supply issues from around 11am to around 7pm according to social media posts yesterday, Tuesday.

The trust cancelled non-urgent care but continued urgent care, such as cancer treatment, with the help of a water tank near A&E.

All patients are asked to attend their appointments as usual as of today, Wednesday.

A spokesperson said safety was 'a priority' while they repaired and restored supply.

A spokesperson said: "If you need medical help, but you are not sure where to go, use NHS 111 to get assessed and directed to the right place for you, including your GP practice, pharmacy or safe self-care at home."
