The Harlequin Theatre in Northwich has announced its latest production, The Wolves of Willoughby Chase.

Adapted for the stage by Russ Tunney, the play is set to debut next month.

Set in a fictional England overrun by 'wolves and villainy' due to the Channel Tunnel, the story follows brave young cousins Bonnie and Sylvia as they take on the scheming Miss Slighcarp.

A spokesperson for Harlequin Theatre said: "This delightful production showcases the remarkable breadth of talent within The Harlequin Players."

Yvette Owen, seasoned Harlequin director, said: "We are so proud of every member of this cast.

"It’s a real ensemble piece and we have been especially blown away by our younger performers; their dedication and talent have been an inspiration to us all."

Promising a blend of humour and gothic-style suspension, the production is aimed at the whole family.

Tickets are priced at £12 for adults, £11 for students, and £7 for under-16s, with early booking strongly recommended.

The play will be performed at Harlequin Theatre, in Queen Street, from June 3 to June 6, starting at 7.45pm nightly, with a Saturday matinee at 2pm.

Tickets can be purchased from www.ticketsource.co.uk/harlequintheatre.
