A PRIMARY school has joined a multi-academy trust.
Kingsley St John’s Primary School officially became part of the Chester Diocesan Academies Trust (CDAT) on May 1, joining a trust which shares its Christian values and ethos.
Rachel Jones, head teacher at Kingsley St John’s, said: "It is wonderful news for our beautiful school.
"Joining Chester Diocesan Academies Trust enables us to broaden our wings, strengthen our Christian distinctiveness and offer greater opportunities for our pupils.
"We hope our new family of church schools receive as much support and collaboration from us, as we will from them.
"This exciting new chapter builds upon our previous 180 years of quality education within a Christian ethos.
"All the things that make our school so unique and special will continue to be nurtured and strengthened."
The school has served the village of Kingsley for 180 years.
