The project in Antrobus, made possible by an £81,200 grant from FCC Communities Foundation, will see a purpose-built kitchen and tearoom created as part of a wider community space on Knutsford Road.
Heather Sutton, chairman of Antrobus Village Hall, said: "This project to fit out the new community hub and tearoom makes our vision of a new community facility a reality.
"It will provide a warm, calm and relaxing environment for people to meet up, connect, enjoy some home-baked cake and a good cup of tea or coffee.
"It’s a real boost to the people of Antrobus.
"It’s fantastic that FCC Communities Foundation has awarded us this money and we’re really looking forward to the community hub and tearoom taking shape over the next few months."

The funding will be used to create a homely, comfortable, modern and fresh space for residents, including restroom and storeroom facilities.
The tearoom will open daily from 8.30am to 12.30pm, with the space available for hire in the afternoons and evenings.
The tearoom aspect allows for the underpinning financial viability of maintaining and running the facility.
FCC Communities Foundation is a not-for-profit business that awards grants for community projects through the Landfill Communities Fund.
Penny Horne, grant manager at FCC Communities Foundation, said: "We’re delighted to be supporting the Antrobus Village Hall – community hub and tearoom space project, and pleased our funding will make such a difference to so many groups of people within the area.
