FIREFIGHTERS we called out to tackle a tractor fire at a farm in Norley also involving a muck heap.
Two fire crews, from Northwich and Frodsham, were called to Marsh Lane, to the north of the village, at 6.25pm on Thursday, April 23, to reports of a tractor ‘well alight’.
Firefighters work oxygen masks and used hoses to put out the fire and dampen down a nearby muck heap to prevent spread, which was also turned over with on-site machinery.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service: “Crews were called to a tractor which was well alight in Northwich.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
“A nearby muck heap was turned over using onsite machinery and dampened down to ensure no fire spread.”
