A POPULAR country pub is set to bring a taste of the coast to Cheshire by launching a monthly seafood event.

The Antrobus Arms will now offer its 'Fruits de Mer' platters on the last Friday of every month, having drawn a full house with its recent Good Friday event.

The event celebrated the tradition of enjoying seafood on Good Friday, and attracted a lot of positive feedback from guests.

One diner even travelled 40 miles to enjoy the experience, later leaving a rave review on TripAdvisor praising the freshness of the seafood and the warm, attentive service.

The monthly seafood platters are set to become a favourite for seafood lovers, featuring whole lobster, dressed crab, Colchester oysters, king prawns, langoustines, and mussels.

Accompanied by Marie Rose sauce, Thermidor aioli, shallot vinaigrette, tartare sauce, and freshly baked Bradwall’s Bakery bread, the classic platter costs £100 and serves two, but can be paired with a selection of other side dishes to serve four.

The Antrobus Arms underlines quality in its offerings, with seafood carefully sourced, expertly prepared, and served with 'genuine hospitality'.

The experience is further enhanced by an extensive wine list, featuring carefully selected bottles from both New World producers and Old World classics, perfectly complementing the delicate flavours of the sea.

This monthly seafood experience will sit alongside the pub's broader offering, which has continued to draw diners from across the region.

The Antrobus Arms’ popular midweek Market Menu offers two courses for £20 or three for £25, while its renowned pies and well-loved Sunday roasts have earned a loyal following.

Additionally, the restaurant hosts monthly tasting menus on the last Saturday of each month, with 'Taste of France' in April and 'Taste of Cheshire' in May coming up.

With a focus on fresh ingredients, quality cooking, and welcoming service, the Antrobus Arms is building its reputation for relaxed yet refined dining.

Bookings for the monthly 'Fruits de Mer' evenings are now available via the Antrobus Arms website, with a small deposit required to secure reservations.
