THE owners of an award-winning Italian restaurant in Middlewich have launched their new venture in Cheshire.

Alberto and Claire Halluni, the couple behind the popular Il Padrino, are opening a new day-to-late-night bar in Alderley Edge.

In partnership with Edward, Andrew, and Peter Odudu - the team behind Global Cultural Events - the pair have given the former Bar Ten in London Road a £200,000 makeover.

And the new bar, Latch, will open its doors to customers for the first time on Friday, March 13.

“We are thrilled to introduce our latest venture to Alderley Edge,” said Alberto who, along with Claire, also owns the two Don Alberto's restaurants in Holmes Chapel and Leigh.

“The village is renowned for its outstanding venues, exceptional service and sophisticated atmosphere.

"It sets a high standard and one we are fully prepared to meet with Latch.

"Italian hospitality is at the heart of what we do, and at Latch we’re creating a warm, welcoming space that feels like home while also offering an elevated sense of occasion through live performances and curated DJ sets."

Latch promises to be a 'stylish' new space where guests can enjoy relaxed daytime drinks and 'transition seamlessly' to late-night performances.

The venue will offer variety of music, from live performances to DJ sets, with a line-up blending Soulful House, R&B, and Amapiano grooves.

Alberto added: “Latch also allows us to champion the regional music scene, showcasing local talent and giving emerging artists a new platform to shine.

"Anyone interested in performing at Latch is welcome to come down, soak up the atmosphere and see if their sound aligns with the unique vibe we’re creating.”

The new bar will also be putting on live music sessions under its Latch Live banner, which will take place on select Thursdays from 5pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm.

These sessions will feature champagne, cocktails, and freshly-prepared brunches.

In the evenings, there will be more live performances, exclusive events and special late-night Latch Sessions.

Edward, who with Andrew and Peter has previously owned Latch bars in Chorley and Preston, said: "We want our clientele to see Latch as a natural extension to their social lives.

"A place where family, friends and new faces can come together to meet, socialise and enjoy exceptional music.

"It’s about fostering genuine connections and encouraging people to look up from their phones and truly engage with one another.

"Great music and great memories, that’s what Latch is designed to deliver.”
