A BARBERSHOP has been named a finalist in the British Hairdressing Business Awards.
Crate Cheshire - which has barbershops in Knutsford, Northwich, Macclesfield and Manchester - has secured a place in the running for Barbershop of the Year at the 2026 awards, once again earning national recognition.
The shop previously won the title in 2021 and 2025, and this latest shortlisting further cements its reputation as one of the UK’s most 'influential and forward-thinking' barbershops.
Charles Rose, founder of Crate Cheshire, said: "We’re incredibly proud to be named a finalist at the British Hairdressing Business Awards for the sixth time.
"It means so much to be recognised again on a national stage.
"Crate is built on the passion, dedication and talent of our team, and this nomination is a true reflection of their hard work and commitment to excellence.
"To be acknowledged among such an inspiring group of businesses is a real honour."
The British Hairdressing Business Awards, now in their 28th year, are considered the industry benchmark for professionalism and progress, celebrating those who combine creativity with strong, sustainable business models.
Mark Moloney, managing director of HJ’s British Hairdressing Business Awards, said finalists demonstrated "exceptional business insight."
He said: "The British Hairdressing Business Awards celebrate far more than success, they recognise the resilience, leadership and innovation that underpin a thriving industry.
"Our 2026 finalists demonstrate exceptional business insight and a genuine commitment to excellence, while playing a vital role in supporting local high streets, creating jobs and delivering outstanding client experiences.
"The quality of entries this year was truly impressive."
Judges especially noted the depth and quality of submissions, highlighting a strong emphasis on long-term business vision, innovation, and leadership.
Finalists were chosen for their ability to adapt and thrive in a changing industry while consistently achieving high standards.
The awards ceremony will take place on Monday, March 2, at the Royal Lancaster London, with winners to be announced on the night.
The event will celebrate the individuals and businesses who are shaping the future of the hairdressing sector.
