A TWO-YEAR-OLD bus passenger suffered superficial injuries after a fishing weight was shot through the bus's window with a slingshot.

The incident was on the A533, between the Peckmill Roundabout and Road One Roundabout, at around 3.55pm on Tuesday, December 23.

In an appeal this week a police spokesperson said a two-year-old bus passenger suffered superficial injuries.

A fishing weight was shot through the bus's window with a slingshot, smashing it, supposedly by two youngsters on a nearby farm field.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing amid an appeal for eyewitnesses or anyone else with information including dashcam footage.

Police Constable Jack Pilkington, of Cheshire Police, said: "This was a terrifying incident for all of the passengers on the bus and we are doing all we can to establish exactly what took place.

"The A533 is a busy road and as part of our enquiries we are keen to hear from anyone who believed they may have witnessed the incident.

"We would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area between 3.40pm and 4pm and may have any dashcam footage of the suspects."
