A MOULTON man is awaiting sentence after admitting the rape and the sexual assault of multiple young girls.

James Huband appeared at Chester Crown Court to alter a previous not guilty plea on Tuesday, December 16.

The 48-year-old admitted a total of more than a dozen counts of rape, sexual assault by penetration, sexual assault by touching, and causing a child to engage in sexual activity.

According to court documents these counts are in relation to a period of around two and a half years, up until the summer of this year, and are in relation to multiple young girls.

After an adjournment for the preparation of the pre-sentence report he was remanded in custody and awaiting sentence for his crimes at the same crown court on Thursday, February 12.
