AN 'inspirational' entrepreneur in Middlewich has been celebrated in the House of Lords for her contribution to the community.
Kayleigh Johnstone, the founder of COZ & Co, was invited to Westminster on December 2 to mark the launch of Small Business Saturday UK's SmallBiz100 for 2025.
The celebration at the House of Lords, attended by Michelle Ovens CBE (director of Small Business Saturday UK), Blair McDougall, and Daisy Cooper, honoured the 100 small businesses selected from across the country for their innovation and contribution to local communities.
Following this Kayleigh joined other 'inspiring' small business owners at a reception in 11 Downing Street, where they were given an address by Chancellor Rachel Reeves.
Kayleigh said: "Attending the celebration at the House of Lords and the reception at 11 Downing Street was truly surreal.
"To be recognised alongside the other incredible small businesses, and to discuss the importance of small business to our economy with the Chancellor, really brought home the significance of this achievement.
"To be selected as a Small Business 100 means so much, especially as we focus on supporting neurodivergent entrepreneurs who are building businesses that work around their strengths rather than trying to fit into traditional employment models."
COZ & Co, a business support and visibility agency helping ambitious solopreneurs streamline their operations and elevate their brand presence, was named as one of the UK's 100 most inspiring small businesses for 2025 by the Small Business Saturday campaign.
The Middlewich-based company was selected by the campaign due to its work providing support and structure to clients with ADHD.
Michelle Ovens CBE added: "Small businesses are the nation’s favourite businesses - bringing immeasurable value to our local communities and powering the wider economy.
"Firms like COZ & Co in this year’s SmallBiz100 represent some of the UK’s most-loved small businesses.
"It is so important that we encourage public support for small businesses up and down the country, as many are still facing a host of challenges as they enter this critical final stretch of the year."
