SUCCESSIVE league wins continue to elude Witton Albion.
After the impressive 3-0 home win against title-chasing Bury FC last week, Ben Harrison’s men headed to Sporting Khalsa with high hopes.
And they were looking good for back-to-back victories in Northern Premier League West when they established a 2-0 interval lead courtesy of centre forward Joe Duckworth and an own goal.
But the hosts turned the tide as striker Andre Landell pulled one goal back after 50 minutes and levelled matters three minutes later, with the game finishing 2-2 in Willenhall.
Witton moved one place up the table to 15th as a result.
1874 Northwich’s home clash with Dudley Town also ended 2-2.
Chris Herbert’s side conceded in the 11th minute as Tommy Owen’s shot from just inside the box sneaked past goalkeeper Jack Atkinson into the net.
Former Witton skipper Rob Hopley levelled matters with his first goal for the Greens two minutes into the new half.
Niall Osborne played a pass through and the 40-year-old striker finished cleanly.
Ten minutes later centre-back Mark Jones headed home Kyle Worsley’s corner for 2-1.
But Dudley levelled matters through Kyle Moseley in the 79th minute, with the draw leaving 1874 eighth and the visitors sixth on the ladder.
In the same league, Northwich Victoria’s trip to Abbey Hulton FC as well as Winsford United’s home clash with Brocton were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
Barnton were in action in North West Counties League First Division South.
They fell 2-1 at Market Drayton, only scoring what proved to be a consolation goal in the third minute of added time through Aarron Grewal.
Jack Finney put Market Drayton ahead in the 22nd minute and the advantage was doubled courtesy of Konnor Higgins in the 81st minute.
Barnton stayed third in the table but have played up to four games more than the sides around them.
Winsford United are scheduled to play in midweek, at home to Stone Old Alleynians in the Midland League Cup on Tuesday, kick-off 7.45pm.
