DAVENHAM Lightning girls under 11s football team are gearing up for competitive matches.
At this age group, the Davenham team, who were promoted last season, play fixtures that are considered ‘non-competitive’ but that switches at under 12s level.
So this season is all about being ready for next year.
On the field their aim for the rest of the campaign is to be a high-performing team, while looking the part.

Barrhead Travel are on board as the team sponsor and have supported the purchase of new kits, along with presenting each player with a new football, a medal and football-related merchandise.
The team, who have now been together for three seasons, are based in Davenham but train at Moss Farm and play games at Hartford High School.
