A VILLAGE pub in Norley is seeking permission to sell alcohol and hold entertainment outside.

The Tiger’s Head, in Pytchleys Hollow, has submitted an application to Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC), the licencing authority for the borough, to extend its licensable area to include part of its extensive external space.

The application relates to the area closest to the pub known locally as the Bowling Green.

The application was submitted by the pub’s owner, Marston’s, on Wednesday, October 22.

The consultation period ends on Wednesday, November 19, meaning Norley residents with objections must make them known by then.

The licence extension relates to the sale of alcohol outside and the right to play or perform recording and live music.

Use of the outdoor space will be restricted to between 11am and 9pm, and entertainment may be limited to weekend afternoons and may include small bands, duos, and soloists.

The area would also be used to ease congestion within the pub itself at special events.

The application state two existing structures within the proposed licence boundary are suitable for the sale of alcohol.

Objections should be made in writing to CWAC’s licencing team.
