A BANNED driver who was approached by police while flying a drone at Pickmere near Wincham, has received six points on his license.

Arkadiusz Milosz, of Aylesford Road, Liverpool, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, September 19.

The 40-year-old pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified in connection with an incident on Earles Lane, Wincham on Friday, August 15.

The court heard police officers had initially approached Milosz while he was flying a drone which appeared to them to be of a weight greater than 250g.

They asked him if he had a Flyer ID for the device, a legal requirement for devices of more than 250g.

Anthony Carey, prosecuting, said Milosz told officers he had driven to the lake with his partner, two drones and a paddle board.

The control room later informed officers he was disqualified from driving for six month as of June 2025.

Mr Carey said this was a ‘totting up offence’ and had occurred after Milosz had amassed more than 12 points on his driving license.

He was challenged about the ban and claimed that he had ‘no idea’. The court heard he had no previous convictions.

Milosz, who appeared unrepresented, said via an interpreter he had ‘forgotten because he had moved home’ and had not notified the DVLA of his change of address, so he did not have a record of the ban.

Magistrates elected to fine Milosz £120, alongside a surcharge of £48 and costs of £85.

He also received six penalty points and will remain disqualified from driving until December 16.
