A GROUP of Travellers have set up an encampment next to a Northwich primary school as the autumn term begins.
Four caravans and associated towing vehicles arrived at a field next to Rudheath Primary Academy, off Gadbrook Road on Sunday, August 31.
Children at the primary school are due to return to their classrooms this week as the academic year begins.
This is according to an unauthorised encampment log for Cheshire and Warrington, operated by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
The log states the field is private land and it is the landowner’s decision on whether the encampment is allowed to stay or whether they are moved on.
