HISTORIANS need help from residents whose families have an historic connection to Northwich's railway.

Researchers, Trevor Booth and Richard Hall, alongside the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership (MCCRP), are putting together an exhibition about the town’s railway heritage.

Set for this autumn at Weaver Hall Museum and Workhouse, they are keen to talk to anyone who can shed light on railway life in years gone by.

They are also asking to borrow artifacts, such as old uniforms and hats, which have stayed in families over the years.

MCCRP's Sarah Muir said: “We would love to hear readers’ memories of the station, and we'd like to borrow historical railway artefacts for the exhibition, and for the display cases at the station.”
