Pupils at a primary school marked the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a military-style parade.

Weaverham Primary Academy, part of the North West Academies Trust (NWAT), celebrated the milestone on May 8 with a range of creative activities.

The medals were crafted from clay and worn by pupils as they participated in a whole-school military-style parade around the school grounds.

"It was a creative and meaningful way to help them understand the importance of VE Day and honour those who served."

Weaverham Primary Academy is part of NWAT, which oversees 12 primary and secondary schools across Cheshire and Shropshire.
