A MUCH-LOVED Christmas tradition returns this weekend.

The Robinson household on Station Road in Winsford will officially unveil their 2024 Christmas decorations on Saturday (November 30).

David Robinson has been decking the halls for 40 years now, with the switch-on event having come to mark the beginning of Christmas for many families in the area.

The display will help raise money for St Luke’s Hospice.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “It’s that time of year again, when the kind folks of the Robinson household on Station Road, Winsford put on a show with their amazing Christmas lights display and raise funds for their local Hospice.

“The big switch on is happening this Saturday at 6.30pm and is always a highlight of the festive period and a real sight to behold!

“We’d love to see you there to take in the festive display and help raise vital funds for the Hospice.”

David first started putting Christmas lights up 40 years ago, initially just for his children.

It has escalated since then, helping to raise thousands of pounds for charities such as the Salvation Army, Prostate Cancer UK, Guide Dogs and now St Luke’s.

This year, the team from Corbett Roofing & Guttering lent David a hand in getting everything ready.

A spokesperson said: “It was our absolute pleasure to help Mr Robinson with the out door lights at Station Road Again this year.

“We can’t wait to see them in all of their glory after the big switch on this weekend.

“All proceeds raised go to the amazing St Luke’s Hospice.”

The lights, at 454 Station Road, CW7 3NF, will be switched on at 6.30pm on Saturday, November 30.
