FATHER Christmas is on his way.

Ahead of the big day on December 25, Santa will be paying a visit to communities around Mid Cheshire to spread some festive cheer.

He will be joined by various community groups, each raising money for important local causes.

Northwich Round Table

Northwich Round Table will be collecting for Directions for Men, a Northwich-based men's mental health charity.

They will be setting off at around 3.30pm each day, with Santa's location shared lived on the group's Facebook page.

Delamere Forest 41 Club

Delamere Forest 41 Club will be heading out on each of the below evenings from 6pm to 8.30pm.

Children are encouraged to come out and see Santa and his elves on the magical musical Christmas float and donate to St Luke’s Hospice and The Joshua Tree.

Saint Nick will also be at the Hazel Pear's lights switch-on on Friday, November 29, and at the Christmas tree switch-on at Acton Bridge Parish Rooms on Sunday, December 1.

Winsford and Middlewich Rotary

Santa and his helpers will be joining the Rotary at Aldi on Dene Drive from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, December 7, ahead of the Winsford Christmas lights switch-on at 5pm.

They will return to Aldi for the same time slot the following Saturday, before paying a visit to Morrisons on Nat Lane on Friday, December 20, from 5pm to 7.30pm.

Father Christmas and co will also be visiting various streets around Middlewich and Winsford between 6pm and 8pm on the following days.

Rotary in Northwich

Rotary in Northwich will be helping out Santa at his Grotto, located at Barons Quay.

Father Christmas will be welcoming visitors every Saturday from now until Christmas from 10am to 4pm.

"Rotary are working with Santa this year to make sure you can visit him in his Grotto at Baron's Quay," said a spokesperson.

"Santa is working really hard getting ready for Christmas, but is happy to take some time off from the toy workshop, to see you face-to-face in town."
