A FATHER and son from Northwich have made more than £73,000 reselling clothes.

Callum Harrison, 26, started reselling wholesale clothes when he got ‘bored’ during the pandemic and wanted some extra income.

Over the last four years he has slowly grown his business and has now enlisted the help of his dad, retired software salesman Tim Harrison, 60.

In the last three months they have made £16,500 through the online marketplace Depop alone.

Callum said: "It's definitely brought us closer together.

"I think my parents were a bit apprehensive at first but then they saw a football shirt selling for £80.

"My record week of sales was 3,000 one week.

"Anything I get I reinvest."

Callum has been using Depop since he was 16.

In late 2020, while in his final year at the University of Newcastle, where he was studying business and marketing, he started looking into reselling.

He sources clothing from wholesalers and online retailers like Fleek, purchasing brands such as Carhartt, Ralph Lauren, North Face and Patagonia at a cut-price fee.

At first it was just a side hustle to make extra cash but gradually the business started to take off, turning over £35,000 in 2022 to 2023.

In March 2023, Callum left to go travelling around south east Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

During this time, his dad helped to mail the orders and list items on social media.

Since returning to the UK in July 2024, Callum has taken the reselling business full time, enjoying the flexibility of working for himself.

Currently, he has around 4,000 to 5,000 items of clothing in stock, which he keeps in his parents and nan’s garages and in a storage container.

Callum said: "I constantly have a flow of amazing clothes.”

He advises anyone starting out in reselling to look at what people are wearing to get an idea of what to buy and sell on.

"Go out there and see what people are wearing,” Callum adds.

"Keep an eye on the market and see what is trending.

"Keep buying - a lot of the time I run at a loss.

"I have constantly got stock."
